FAQS

New to Good Times

  • We use the MindBody booking system for all account management, purchases, and bookings. It’s integrated into our website so you don’t have to slog through any annoying account making or sign ups.

If you’re an app-collector (like us!), you can also use the MindBody app or the Good Times App.

  • Firstly, welcome to the club! We want to make sure that you feel comfortable no matter your ability. So, we’ve made all of our classes open level and ready to go for any level or mood. Our clever teachers will be right by your side (but not the whole time, we promise) to make sure you feel supported.

Our recommendation? Start with the feel-good Good Moves classes to get in the flow, and explore from there.

Please know you’re always welcome to take everything at your own pace and exercises can be modified with ease. Move with your mood is our best advice!

  • → Wear something stretchy and comfortable, and please wear socks (no socks, no play)

→ BYO (water bottle, that is). We have water available but don’t currently supply cups

→ Bring a towel (especially when attending the notorious Sweat Class!)

→ Try to avoid a massive meal 1.5 hours before class

→ YES to change rooms and WC on site, N/A to showers

  • Arrive at least ten minutes before class, because empty reformers will be given to our waitlisted friends/or keen walk-ins.

Roll Call! Check in with your teacher or at reception before each class, so they can mark you as attending. Like school, but chill.

Pregnancy, dodgy knees, cramps? We want to make sure you’re comfortable so tell your teacher before class if there’s anything they need to know about your body. We respect your privacy.

Other than water and a towel, please leave all of your belongings on the shelves in the change room. We don’t want to accidentally squash your iPhone (or fresh market blooms) when we’re moving around the studio.

Give everything a go! We only invite you to move in ways that we believe every body is capable of. If it doesn’t work for you – that’s ok. Be proud you tried because we will be.

Read on about our Community Guidelines.

  • Congratulations! If you’ve been cleared to exercise by your doctor, you can absolutely join our group classes.

Our highly skilled teachers fully understand the guidelines around exercise during pregnancy. We have wedges to support you during class if you need and can always offer options and alternatives to accommodate you.

Check out our Pregnancy + Pilates for more information on how we can support your pregnancy journey.

  • While we believe in sweating stuff out, if you have cold or flu symptoms please refrain from classes until you’re well. Get some lemon and honey in some hot water, instead.

If you’re not feeling 100% in any capacity please stay at home, preferably in bed while bingeing ’00s rom-coms (our team would be doing the same).

If you have any injuries please get the all clear from your doctor before attending class.

If you have something else going on with your body, like pregnancy, then let your teacher know that you may need a little bit of TLC in your practice.

Always listen to your body and don’t be afraid to speak up (in life and in class).

  • In our (highly experienced) books, never. But make sure you do what works for your body, mind, mood and schedule.

If you’re new to pilates, then a nice 2-3 classes is a great starting point.

Once you’re as hooked as we are then you can build up to 5-6 classes per week.

To make the most out of your Good Times workouts, we suggest taking a mixture of classes to ensure you’re getting a range of fun, full-body movement.
